The Oceanarium in Międzyzdroje is a modern educational and recreational facility showcasing the diversity of aquatic life from various parts of the world. Located at Bohaterów Warszawy Street 16B, in the city center, the venue covers an area of 3000 m² and offers exhibits for both individual visitors and organized groups.
The Oceanarium houses over 60 aquariums and water tanks presenting marine and freshwater ecosystems. Among the inhabitants are sharks, moray eels, stingrays, piranhas, eagle rays, sea turtles, and various species of coral reef fish . One of the main attractions is a 16-meter semi-tunnel allowing close observation of the underwater world.
Additionally, visitors can enjoy the "touch pool," where under supervision they can touch some safe marine creatures. A paludarium with Japanese koi carp and interactive multimedia exhibitions, such as educational games and presentations about marine environment protection, complement the educational offer.
The Oceanarium serves an educational function, offering programs for schools and organized groups. It cooperates with the Faculty of Food Science and Fisheries at the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin, which enables classes in ichthyology and aquaculture.
