Świnoujście is a true paradise for anglers, offering incredibly rich waters where many species of both freshwater and marine fish can be caught. In the nearby lakes and rivers, you can encounter impressive specimens of zander, bream, and pike, especially in the months of June and October. From spring to autumn, perch and roach are commonly found, which anglers can catch up to 4-5 kg per hour. Along the Oder River, eels migrating from the entire basin can also be found. In late autumn, perch and burbot dominate, but you can also come across flounder, dab, or sole. Moreover, it is in this area that royal salmons and sea-run trout migrate, reaching weights over 20 kg. In the shallow waters of the Świna Strait, tench and crucian carp – both common and silver – can be excellently caught.

As for the best fishing spots, the fishing grounds in the Karsibor area are especially recommended, where there are fishing and boating stations. Excellent fishing conditions can also be found in Przytór and Łunowo. For those dreaming of sea fishing, the breakwaters at the mouth of the Świna River into the Baltic Sea are reliable. In these waters, a wide range of fish can be caught, including marine species such as the viviparous eel, dab, and also garfish, which appears only at the end of the spring herring season. At certain times, schools of herrings can also be encountered.
