The lighthouse in Świnoujście is the tallest lighthouse on the Polish coast – measuring almost 65 meters in height. Built in the mid-19th century from yellow brick, it was erected on the right bank of the Świna River as an important navigational point for ships entering the port. Initially, it had an octagonal cross-section, but harsh weather conditions and the effects of sea salt forced a reconstruction. At the beginning of the 20th century, during renovation, the tower was given its current round shape.

Attached to the lighthouse are red brick buildings housing former crew quarters and radio lighthouse equipment. The facility also serves as a radio lighthouse, emitting a Morse code signal – "SW" – referencing the city of Świnoujście.

After a thorough renovation completed at the end of the 20th century, the lighthouse was opened to visitors in 2000. Spiral stone stairs lead to the observation deck, offering an unforgettable view of the port, coastline, and the Baltic Sea from above.

This unique place combines history, technology, and beautiful landscapes – a must-visit spot on the map for every tourist visiting Świnoujście.
